Color Management
NightHawk lives and dies based on color management. We guarantee our work, and that’s not possible without comprehensive color-management. In fact, it is accurate to say that when color and consistency are priority targets, NightHawk really rises above the crowd. Why else would one of the best-known providers of gifts, specifically fresh food and chocolates, trust us with their money shots? Or the nation’s best-known regional theater company trust us with images of their actors and productions? NightHawk utilizes very high-end scanning and digital photography gear to capture images not already in digital file format. Our digital art director then manipulates and enhances your images, eliminating small imperfections, brightening and color-correcting each image element until the final file is as close to the perfect image as possible. Then the image is standardized, rendered into a DALIM certified PDF and sent to pre-press for pre-flighting and final layout. The image is also catalogued and archived for re-purposing.
Before print, NightHawk technicians create a proof with our high-end, ink-pigment proofing device. Then we create a “target” representing the final output specifications. If we use an outside commodity printer, as we do with one of our biggest annual catalog jobs, they get our certified file, our proof, and the target. In this manner, we guarantee the consistent reproduction of your brand, images and messaging. It is this model that also allows us to reap significant savings for our clients on the printer-side by eliminating the need to generate multiple proofs and undertake print-shop color corrections. We get fast, accurate, cost-efficient print runs each and every time. No exceptions.
Supply Chain Management
